The new in is a old traditional pub with friendly atmosphere , .I had cheesy chicken .with mushrooms and bacon and cheese on top.and salad, The food was excellent. If there was a pattern on the plate I would of scraped it off it was morish. Excellent food π my compliments to the chef π. I was enjoying my meal and me and my partner. Sat on table 4 inside where the window was looking out of the window, And I felt a hand brush across my right knee.!!!! my partner was sitting opposite me and I said has I looked under the table, Ive just felt something like a hand brush across my right knee. There was nobody else around table no 4 and nobody on table no 3. Next to us. My partner said has he looked at me , wonder if it's got past history. What ever or who ever it was was friendly. And was letting me know there was a presence. It was strange but didn't scare me. This is when I started to find out the history of the New Inn at shardlow.. I am wondering if there is spirits or ghost present. If anybody else has felt a presence would be interested to get some feed back. Excellent customer service by the young lad. who was serving the food to each table,he had a very pleasant personality.and fantastic smile very helpful and pleasant. Will be back for more food and drinks. New Inn Shardlow. 100per cent worth a visit for food friendly atmosphere. Well done to all the staff excellent. Team work. And food and drinks πΈ π π π€
Best fish and chips I've had anywhere! Came here for a quiet drink the other night with my wife and decided to have some food here. Jeremy behind the bar was exceptional; a young lad with impeccable customer service. Professional and courteous. We then ordered fish and chips and the service was A1. No long wait times and the food was hot and fresh. The fish and chips were 10/10. The young lad that came out with the food has got to be mentioned too. Again, exceptional service. Just wonderful to see this kind of thing, as it's a dying art. We spoke to the chef on his way out as it was near the end of the night when we were leaving (Monday 07/08/2023) and commended him on the lovely food. We'll definitely be coming here again and again. A lovely pub with great service. Eat and drink here, and I strongly recommend the fish and chips!
